I am hard to fit. A 13 1/2 would be perfect, but there is no such thing. I thought I would give the Bostonian 14 a try and it was perfect. It must be cut slightly smaller that stated, but it is perfect for me. I am happy with my choice and happy with the speed of Zappos' service. I purchased the brown Bostonian Prescott shoes for work and I'm glad I did. I read people's comments regarding the noise. They do indeed make noise if you walk on wood or any hard-surfaced floor. I work in an office environment with carpeted (berber-like) floors and these shoes make no noise at all. If you're concerned about the noise, keep this in mind. If you're not, then these shoes will work for you. The appearance is great and the comfort is great as well. I cannot slide into shoes easily... and everything hurts. These shoes are the first that I found that are completely comfortable. My only complaint is the quality appearance. I was glad with that, however, the shoe looked a little worn and definitely will gain creases quite easily. This shoe didn't need any "breaking in" and wore well and comfortable from the first time I put them on. It looks good and can been worn with a suit, but is very comfortable for a dress shoe. Look: Bostonian Prescott - I feel bad to write a negative review of a shoe on Zappos’ website, as Zappos is great, but I hate these shoes and I feel that people should have my input in order to avoid a potentially bad purchase (and save you and Zappos the hassle of doing a return). It is in no way Zappos’ fault that these shoes are terrible. While I think Bostonian generally offers a decent product for the money, this is the worst Bostonian shoe I have ever had. The cheap leather was covered with a plasticy material to make it look shiny (I removed this with rubbing alcohol and then polished normally - then they looked a little better). The worst part about the shoe is the sole. It feels and looks like a cheap, soft plastic and the shoes seem like a toy. However, while I hate this, I can see why people (like teenagers, perhaps) who can't stand wearing non-athletic shoes might prefer this, as the shoes seemed soft and comfortable. Described as tan but I think it is brown (which I preferred anyway). The finish is rather too shiny, looks a bit cheap. Curiously, except for the finish, this shoe seems identical to a Florsheim model formerly carried by Penny's. Macy's has only black in Prescott. I was very pleased to find other colors online.
